U.S. Department of Justice is Hiring an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) Near Washington, DC

Summary
This position serves as IT Specialist (INFOSEC/Solutions Architect) for the classified systems located within the IT Operations team, Information Technology Management office of the Department of Justice, National Security Division (NSD). The mission of the National Security Division (NSD) is to coordinate the Department's efforts in carrying out its core missions of combating terrorism and protecting national security.

This position is being filled under the OPM Government-Wide Direct Hire Authority for INFOSEC related positions for grades GS 12 through GS 15. This serves as a public notice for the use of the Direct Hire Authority in accordance with 5 U.S.C. 3327 and 3330 and 5 CFR 330. This public notice may be used to fill multiple positions as needed; therefore, applicants must meet the qualifications at the time the applications are reviewed.

NSD is responsible for developing, enforcing and supervising the application of all federal criminal laws related to the national counterterrorism and counterespionage enforcement programs, except those specifically assigned to other divisions; and litigating and coordinating a wide range of criminal prosecutions and criminal investigations targeting individuals and organizations that commit or attempt to commit terrorist acts at home or against U.S. persons or interests abroad or that assist in the financing of or providing support to those acts.
As a IT Specialist (INFOSEC) GS - 2210 - 14, your typical work assignments may include but are not limited to the following:
Providing IT Services focused on classified systems and cyber security tools in areas such as: active Directory Domain Services, Domain Name Services, Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365, Microsoft Skype, Trellix, and Nessus.
Managing IT services for Classified Microsoft Exchange Servers
Adhering to zero-trust concepts

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of IT Specialist (INFOSEC) at (GS-2210-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.

To qualify for the GS-14 IT Specialist (INFOSEC) position you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing IT solutions architectural services and hands-on implementation for Cybersecurity and IT Infrastructure
