This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for building and enhancing our critical infrastructure. Responsible for designing, implementing and managing highly scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions to ensure applications runs smoothly.
Collaborate with developers and operations teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions that meet application requirements
Focus on application resiliency by building fault- tolerant systems, implementing disaster recovery strategies and ensuring high availability
Lead the design and development of solutions for non-functional requirements, including scalability, performance, security and maintainability
Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code
Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs
Performs analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvements
Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures
Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices
Exhibits relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards
Embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank’s technology transformation
Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
Five to six years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Extensive experience in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, GraphQL and Spring integration with Apache Kafka / AMQP
Experience in building application using Microservices and Event driven architecture..
Strong experience in working with a RDBMS like SQL Server & Postgres and messaging solutions like Kafka, Rabbit MQ knowledge will be a plus
Experience in REST API design and specifications, building REST API with a tool like Swagger preferred.
CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Fortify, Sonar, Blackduck.
Strong understanding of infrastructure and networking concepts
Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles
Any hybrid cloud or public cloud implementation experience.
Knowledge of Apigee, security aspects like TLS, MTLS, oAuth2, session management.
Containerization using Docker and deployment in Rancher/Kubernetes.
Experience with Jenkins pipelines to build/update deployment pipelines.
Experience in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
Proficient understanding of algorithms, data structures, architectural design patterns and best practices
Experience in financial industry, and building and maintaining high performing payment systems is preferred
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
