We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various housekeeping and maintenance duties to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our facility.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, sweep, mop, and vacuum designated areas within the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of restrooms and assigned areas.
• Ensure safety on stairs, ramps, and sidewalks by removing snow, ice, and other potential hazards.
• Wash facility laundry, remove debris, and wash windows as needed.
• Utilize hand-operated, power scrubbing, waxing, and vacuuming equipment efficiently.
• Perform minor repairs to building fixtures and equipment.
• Maintain facility grounds by watering, fertilizing, trimming, and cultivating lawns, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on grounds-keeping equipment.
• Empty trash cans, pick up debris, and clean pavement to uphold cleanliness standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping roles is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work efficiently under general supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Basic understanding of minor repairs and maintenance tasks is desirable.
