Tyler Equipment Corporation is currently hiring an experienced Yard Associate in our East Longmeadow, MA and Berlin CT. location.This position assists the service department. Business hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Position Summary

The Yard Associate will be a member of the service team and will assist the service department with more tasks pertaining to the department’s operations and management. The position will report to the branch service manager.

Responsibilities

· Responsible for yard organization by grouping equipment and attachments in logical format

· Point contact for loading outbound equipment and attachments

· Receive and review delivery slips

· Verify the EQ #/serial numbers on both equipment and attachments

· Responsible for taking pre-shipment pictures of rental shipments

· Communicate and consult with drivers on appropriate load-out of trailer and vehicles

· Execute load-out and provide shipping documents/manuals/keys to the drivers

· Point contact for receiving inbound equipment and attachments

· Responsible for off loading equipment and attachments from trailers/trucks

· Verify serial numbers form the BOL to the receiving equipment

· Complete receiver paperwork and transmit receiver to purchaser and assigned account coordinator

· Act as currier for parts and field technicians

· Assist branch service shop as needed to complete two-man tasks

· Pressure wash equipment and attachments

· Assist with facility maintenance and warehouse with additional tasks

· Perform daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections

· Responsible for cleaning out warranty bays

Job Qualifications

· Must have valid driver’s license record

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Ability to bend, twist or stand for long periods of time

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more

· Must be detail orientated, posses a strong work ethic

· Have the ability to work outdoors in inclement weather

· Must be able to pass a drug and background screening

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
