TX Team Rehab, Inc. is Hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Outpatient Hands Part Time Near Frederick, MD

Description

Are you a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant that has a passion for working with hands and upper extremities? Are you looking to join a great team of professionals? We invite you to join our Hand Therapy team in Frederick, MD at Frederick Health Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab Aspen Ridge Outpatient Clinic. This is a Part Time position.

The details:

We treat a large variety of hand, wrist and elbow diagnoses including post-surgical, trauma, fractures, dislocations, tendon lacerations, arthritis, brachial plexus injuries, and rheumatic conditions. Qualified candidates will have experience with splinting and post-surgical rehabilitation. Be a part of this team of clinicians with an excellent reputation for niche programming and service to its patients.

The ideal candidate:

  • One (1) year outpatient experience in treating the hand population preferred
  • Splinting experience is preferred as this clinic sees many post-operative patients
  • Will display strong skills in flexibility, time management, leadership, and communication
  • Focuses on the patient and providing the utmost in customer service excellence

The responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality outcomes driven hand therapy services for the upper limb, including hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder girdle
  • Fabricates custom-made splints and communicates with physician to ensure correct protocols
  • Document with web-based software and documentation system (EMR)
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation for current patient caseload and oversee compliance of department.
  • Conduct patient and family education
  • Display strong skills in flexibility, time management, and communication
