- Provide exceptional patient service, including explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during the blood collection process
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate specimen collection and processing
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

- Clinical laboratory knowledge: Understanding of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety protocols
- Physiology knowledge: Familiarity with the human body's systems and functions

- Specimen collection processing: Proficiency in collecting, handling, and preparing blood specimens for testing
- Patient service: Ability to provide compassionate care to patients during the phlebotomy process
- Patient care: Knowledge of infection control practices and ability to ensure patient safety during blood collection
- Phlebotomize: Skill in performing venipuncture techniques accurately and efficiently
