Two Six Technologies is Hiring an Associate Research Director- Mobile Systems Near Arlington, VA

Two Six Technologies is looking for a Associate Research Director to join our growing Mobile Systems team in Arlington, Virginia. This candidate will have a strong inclination for client engagement, team leadership, and advanced knowledge of mobile operating systems. Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing technical and programmatic oversight of Mobile Security R&D projects developing the next round of research projects and presenting to program managers
  • Leveraging their technical wherewithal and intellectual confidence to run with and lead a team of advanced researchers, encouraging where needed and pushing back when necessary
  • Conducting line management of team members and hiring new team members
  • Providing technical marketing of Mobile Security services and capabilities to new and existing Government R&D clients
  • Identifying and leading the capture of new R&D programs
  • Participating in and leading proposal generation and delivery

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related technical domain
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a Principal Investigator or line manager for a team of scientists and engineers, or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with fundamentals associated with mobile systems, such as the Android or iOS operating system and their respective kernels, applications, embedded systems, network stacks, and wireless protocols
  • Experience in the research, development, execution, or analysis relevant to offensive cyber operations using mobile systems
  • Active Secret clearance with eligibility/willingness to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Must be eligible/willing to obtain and maintain a Polygraph clearance

Nice If You Have:

  • An advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related technical domain
  • Cyber security domain experience and knowledge
  • Background in reverse engineering, vulnerability research, exploit development, or CNO tool development
  • Familiarity with reverse engineering principles and disassemblers (e.g., Binary Ninja, Ghidra, IDA)
  • Experience leading teams in a rapid prototype environment demonstrating scalable architectures
  • A proven track record of capturing Government R&D contracts/programs
  • Past performance as a Principal Investigator on fast-paced, innovation-driven, advanced technology R&D projects for Government clients
  • An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with eligibility for CI Poly.

Clearance/Citizenship:

  • Active Secret clearance with eligibility/willingness to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with potential Polygraph.
