Human Resources Payroll Support Specialist

Duties/Essential Job Functions:

Assists with payroll duties at franchise level
- Processes payroll for franchises in various states
- Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Performs wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating, and recording payroll deductions, processing requests for off cycle pay checks and terminations as well as checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards
Responsible for delivering training regarding payroll system functionality, payroll best practices, and compliance related items
Tracks types of questions and concerns in software for future training
Handles employee relations communication regarding payroll concerns at franchise level
Assists in software updates and featured roll outs
Other duties as assigned by management

Education or Equivalent Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of payroll experience is required
Accounting, project management, training, or support experience a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and regulations
Great listening and organizational skills
Adept in problem analysis and solving
Possess attention to detail, initiative, and sound judgment
Ability to be resilient and adapt
Ability to work independently with multiple tasks and deadlines
Team oriented and customer service focused; able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and franchise staff
Analytical thinker

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards. Travel may be required.
