Nature of Work in this Class:
Primary duties include: prepare drinks and receive monies from guests as payment for purchase of food and beverages; to disburse correct change; to take telephone and walk-in orders; to sell various retail items; to maintain set up lists; perform assigned duties; to maintain a clean working environment.

- Greet Guests in an upbeat enthusiastic way
- Prepare drinks, pour draft beer
- Receive and process payment
- Operate POS (Point of Sale)(Cash Register) System
- Receive and process call-in to go orders
- ALWAYS ENSURE A TWISTED MULE BACK-UP IS IN THE WALK-IN
- Operate credit card and debit card machines
- Maintain well-stocked bar; including bottled beer, wine, liquor, no empty kegs left in keg cooler.
- Sell retail merchandise items
- Keep everything in its place, and maintain a clean, organized and efficient work area
- Double-check orders for accuracy prior to giving orders out to guests
- Thank Guests for coming and invite them back to dine with us
- Keep management informed of any product shortages
Minimum Knowledge, Abilities & Skills:
- Working knowledge of processing payments
- Basic knowledge of alcoholic beverages/beer types, ability to find drink recipes when unsure of how to make drink
- Skill to operate cash register
- Working knowledge of cashiering services and restaurant operations
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work on variety of tasks
- Ability to work with other people (to be a team player)
- Computer Literate
- Ability to carry on conversations with Guests as they wait for orders
- Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 6 hours)
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Minimum work experience and training:
- One (1) year bartending experience
- Six (6) months in cashiering processing
- High school graduate or equivalent experience.
Standard Requirement:
- Valid ABO card and Louisiana Responsible Vendors License
- Must be 18 years
