Twin Cities Co-op Partners is Hiring a Warehouse Operations Team Lead First Shift (Co-op Partners Warehouse) Near Paul, MN

Co-op Partners Warehouse (CPW) is a cooperatively owned, produce and natural foods wholesale distributor servicing co-ops, retailers, restaurants, educational institutions, and buying clubs in the Upper Midwest.

An important part of our business is partnering with farmers who practice sustainable, organic agriculture, both locally and nationally. We support the growers and producers in our local food community and commit to them as a critical part of our supply chain.

We have an immediate opportunity for a Warehouse Associate to join our team in St. Paul, MN.

Purpose: The Operations Team Lead is responsible for accurate order fulfillment, assisting with quality and inventory control.

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Essential Functions:

  • Plan and communicate daily tasks/schedule to team members.
    • Adjusting and re-assigning team members to other departments as needed during the day based on business needs.
  • Lead and train warehouse personnel to help them achieve professional potential
    • Training Warehouse Associate 3's and new employees.
    • Train the trainer on equipment
  • Prepare and complete daily orders for customer shipments/deliveries; includes picking orders, labeling shipments, and all systems and paperwork associated with the orders are completed.
  • Stage and load outbound shipments.
  • Receive inbound shipments and put the product away in the appropriate locations. Making sure that all paperwork is accurate, and information is accurately entered into the system.
    • Notify Sourcing when product arrives with quality issues.
  • Schedule inbound dock appointments.
  • Conduct daily product inspections
    • Coordinate with QC if product needs further inspection or is needed to be sorted or repacked
    • Adjusting inventory as needed
  • Ensure daily Cycle Counts are conducted and are accurate.
  • Replenishments product from overstock locations into picking locations
  • Ensure all opening and closing daily processes are completed and documented.
  • Ensure all Food Safety, SSOP's and OSHA Safety documentation is completed.
  • Familiar with all warehouse equipment/assets and ensures they are maintained/operational.
  • Maintain warehouse organization
    • Plans, organizes, and facilitates optimized layout for the warehouse
    • Cleaning
    • Maintain the facility
  • Lead and maintain employee satisfaction and engagement by using reward and recognition tools that are available
  • Perform other tasks or projects assigned by CPW Leadership.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalency and 2 years of previous warehouse experience
  • Certified forklift operator is a plus
  • Bi-lingual is a plus
  • Ability to lift 40-70 lbs. repeatedly, with frequent bending, stopping, and twisting.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time under cold, wet conditions
  • Ability to provide a strong leader presence amongst peers
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work with customers and coworkers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work with TCCP to create an inclusive environment where all are welcomed.
