TW PRODUCTS is Hiring a Logistics Shipping Coordinator Near Jessup, MD

We are looking for a competent logistics coordinator to oversee and facilitate our company's supply chain operations. You will prepare, route, and manage our company’s purchase orders. Your primary duties include reviewing shipment materials before distribution, collaborating with transportation systems to ensure prompt shipment pick-ups, and monitoring shipment costs and productivity processes.

The ideal candidate will have extraordinary record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels, aiming for maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will facilitate communication between the production, sales, and distribution stages to promote a healthy and efficient supply chain. Your key responsibilities often include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Handle inbound and outbound shipments from the warehouse
  • Coordinating with transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
  • Responding to vendor inquiries
  • Tracking shipments daily and updating shipping databases
  • Reviewing and verifying relevant trucking bills for the AP department
  • Complete end-of-week cleaning assignments to help maintain a clean and healthy workspace
  • Performing monthly and quarterly inventory counts; keeping all databases updated at all times
  • Pulling products and materials from the warehouse and entering each pull into a log
  • End-of-day warehouse organization: Put away any samples, tools, and equipment, and clear the floor of large objects.
  • Completing a monthly work presentation to share with your colleagues, documenting your accomplishments and goals for the upcoming month
  • Completing weekly reports, highlighting both tasks completed and upcoming tasks
  • Box up and drop off small parcel shipments to UPS/FedEx
  • Making note of the quality of the warehouse rack system, replacing wire racks and pallets when needed
  • Operating the forklift when needed
  • Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
  • Come in early or stay late whenever there is a shipment required after-hour loading/unloading.
  • Due to the nature of shipping, you must be able to check, send emails after hours, and/or make phone calls whenever necessary (i.e., time-sensitive shipping documents, pickup/delivery arrangements with truckers, etc.)
  • We are a 7-hour work day, and this is professional employment that is exempt from MD overtime pay/regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a shipping/ logistics coordinator
  • A meticulous attention to detail is a must
  • An exceptional organizational skill
  • Knowledge of US Customs Border and Protection, customs brokers, tariffs, and other trade organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in handling international shipments, imports, and exports is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of international logistics/business laws and regulations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to conduct in-person or over-the-phone meetings with vendors
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Computer-savvy; proficient with G-suite products: at a minimum, you need to be able to edit and format various documents professionally
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • BSc/BA in business administration, supply chain management, or relevant field or two years of direct experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
