TVS SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTIONS NORTH AMERICA, INC is Hiring a Site Manager Near Redlands, CA

The Site Manager will manage, coordinate, and lead the business activities of all departments within a specific site of the business. The Site Manager is responsible for the leadership of the employees within the location and overall operational performance of the assigned location. The Site Manager is directly responsible for performance regarding Safety, People Management, Manpower, Quality, Customer Satisfaction, and Industrial Hygiene. This role reports to the Director of Operations.

Essential Functions

  • Manages all aspects of the site to provide an environment that promotes high quality customer service to both internal and external customers. Customer facing responsibility for commercial discussions, client interaction for customer satisfaction, and overall relationship building with the customer.
  • Oversee and direct communication with the customer to address customer complaints and concerns; resolve problems and escalate issues as required.
  • Ensure site exceeds customer expectations regarding cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
  • Finalize daily plans and workloads with Department Managers to ensure daily goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Enforce Department level tracking, reporting, and control of the DART rate for each department.
  • Support and conduct safety investigations and meetings as necessary.
  • Ensure Department Managers comply with and enforce all standard safety practices.
  • Ensure Department Managers maintain an organized and clean work environment in compliance with 6S workplace organizational standards.
  • Inspect and monitor that key department objectives are properly reported.
  • Ensure consistent execution of all standard operating procedures throughout the site.
  • Partner with Quality, Materials, and Operations to perform root cause analysis and drive improvement.
  • Address and control the cost of poor quality attributed to the shift. Key indexes include scrap, downtime, detention, inventory write-offs and premium freight.
  • Review, modify, and implement operational activities that eliminate waste, ensure compliance to local and federal laws, and improving the overall operation of the business.
  • Coach, develop and empower direct reports to help drive company objectives. Train and influence leaders to improve employee engagement while instilling the company culture.
  • Monitor, measure, and report the performance of direct employees. Create and administer performance reviews as prescribed by company practice. Execute coaching and feedback to maximize employee performance.
  • Establish and maintain positive employee relations and employee involvement. Partner with Human Resources to support employee relations.
  • Ensure Department Managers consistently enforce company policies.
  • Controls all labor and operation cost to meet financial objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit or stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The associate may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Steel-toed shoes and vests are required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full Time, Exempt. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.

Travel

Limited travel between locations is required for this position.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, preferably in business or related field; high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of seven years demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience required in a manufacturing, warehouse or logistics environment supervising and leading groups of 75 or more.
  • Must have strong computer skills and operational knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of electronic timekeeping systems (UKG, ADP, Gusto, Paypro).
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and proven safety record.
  • Knowledge of ISO quality systems.
  • Ability to create and use mathematical equations to compute productivity reports
  • Ability to create and complete comprehensive reports directly impacting business performance
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt / Blackbelt
  • Promote a 6S Culture and Environment
  • Supervisor Certification Certificate
  • OSHA 300 Certification
  • Working knowledge in Warehouse Management Systems
  • Working knowledge of an ERP (SAP, Great Plains, Dynamics, etc.)
