Compensation: $20-$23 p/hr

Our client, a thriving commercial contractor based in Camarillo, CA, is looking for an organized and detail-oriented full-time Accounting Clerk with demonstrated accounting and administrative experience to support all functions related to invoice processing, billing, expense tracking, and financial reporting.

Reporting to and supporting the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for supporting financial operations by ensuring timely processing of invoices, monitoring and tracking project-related expenses, and communicating with vendors regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, and other finance-related matters. At times, general administrative support may be required, so a team player mentality and the willingness to wear many hats are critical. Day to Day as Accounting Clerk:

• Accurately review, process, and file invoices related to construction projects.
• Monitor and track project-related expenses.
• Provide general administrative assistance as needed.
• Utilize schedule of values to ensure accurate billing of materials and labor to subcontractors.
• Maintain consistent communication with subcontractors and vendors to address payment inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

As our ideal candidate you bring:

• At least one year of accounting support experience (construction environment a plus).
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel (familiarity with AIA forms a plus).
• Intermediate proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Four-year accounting degree is a plus.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Consistent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Integrity, honesty, and the ability to pass a background check.
• Emotional intelligence and communication skills; enjoyable to work with.
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the willingness to provide support cross-functionally when needed.
