Essential Position Functions:

• Provide excellent service when greeting and checking in patients on arrival
• Verify lab and IV orders and complete required procedure documentation
• Use appropriate techniques when drawing blood, ensuring safety and minimizing patient discomfort; disposes used needles and supplies in designated containers
• Handle specimens per protocols, including labeling and temporary storage; prepare specimens for in-house and ship-out testing
• Assist with scheduling patient appointments and enter documents and data to EMR
• Assist nurses with monitoring and discharging IV infusion therapies; take patient vital signs as needed
• Operate select laboratory equipment under supervision
• Monitor proper storage and inventory of lab and IV supplies
• Maintain clean and organized work environment

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

• Must have a current, valid CPT1 License
• Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience
• Excellent customer service skills and ethical professional conduct
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a busy medical practice environment
• Ability to develop trust and rapport with patients
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• CPR - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Computer literate with MS Office, spreadsheets, and EMR experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
