Job Overview

TuSimple is hiring highly skilled production technicians who have a great attention to detail, are experts at problem-solving, assembling simple and complex hardware systems in a Manufacturing prototype environment. We are looking for production technicians to work directly with our hardware team on the upfit of autonomous trucks.

Responsibilities

• Support truck upfit following engineering documentation for hardware and electrical systems
• Work as a Production Technician building TuSimple’s self-driving vehicles - this Includes vehicle build, sub-assembly and harness assembly installation.
• Candidates must possess excellent documentation practices.
• Work closely with Hardware Engineering and associated teams.
• Follow safety standards and meet internal deadlines.
• Work with limited supervision

Experience & Skills - Required

• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in automotive, trucking, or other low volume custom/production arenas
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, ERP, PLM, CAD, and various other software tools
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Strong electrical skills, ability to read wiring schematics and layouts, and assemble wiring harnesses
• Ability to problem-solve, diagnose, analyze and isolate problems
• Proficiency with Windows
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
