• Assists in the development of patient care goals and objectives that complete and compliment care given
• Monitors all nursing aspects of the Mental Health Unit with regards to patient care and quality assurance
• Participates in the admission process by conducting Nursing portion of Assessments, as evidenced by completion of the Nursing Assessment format in a timely and consistent manner utilizing Nursing diagnosis.
• Ensures that Nursing areas on treatment plans and updates are carried out by observing patient / staff interactions and by reviewing documentation of Nursing interventions
• Serves as a role model for Nursing team members by demonstrating Nursing care interventions that focus on patient individuality, dignity, and personal growth, as evidenced by providing for patients to express their needs and concerns, and assisting with the resolution.
• Responds to medical / psychiatric emergency situations by taking appropriate steps as outlined in policies and procedures.
• Trains Nursing staff on providing documentation that identifies, and adequately records current patient condition in database.
• Provides ongoing training and supervision of Nursing staff in the accurate and timely completion of all patient records.
• Assists with audits of treatment plans and AMSR to ensure accuracy and timely completion, addressing any deficiencies with the appropriate mental health clinical staff.
• Formulates preliminary Nursing treatment plans upon patient admission, that encompasses Nursing diagnosis and Nursing orders in collaboration with the respective staff member concerned with the patient.
• Differentiates levels of severity of crises, understands lethality quotient assessments, remains appropriate within crisis situations, assesses data and behavior in an objective manner, and intervenes for positive resolution in a timely and professional manner.

• Four (4) years of nursing experience; Two (2) years of experience in substance abuse/psychiatric treatment
• Licensed by the Georgia Composite Board
• CPR Certified (BLS)
