Our client partner has serviced quarry, mine, and construction customers with integrity and expertise for over eight decades. Our client's goal is to partner with our customers to ensure optimal blasting outcomes while placing safety at the forefront of our day-to-day operations. Our client is a nationally recognized family-owned and locally operated company. We are excited to help expand our client's operations in Ohio and are immediately hiring a full-time Site Manager in Grove City, Ohio.

Position Overview

Our Site Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the location to ensure goals and objectives are achieved and all work is performed safely. This position provides leadership to site employees including blasters, drivers, and drillers, blast crew. This position is a leadership role and must be able to manage and schedule a team accordingly. Must have strong communication skills and be very customer focused. Daily communication with the customer is a critical success factor for this role.

This site will service 3 quarry locations totaling 8M tons of rock each year. Additionally, the Site Manager must be an Ohio certified blaster with a minimum of 4 years of quarry blasting experience.

Responsibilities of the Position

• While carrying out daily responsibilities safety and compliance must be the first priority.

• Must be reliable and able to provide leadership to employees and ensure services provide exceptional customer service.

• Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of location employees.

• Champions company-wide goals of zero harm to the environment including no accidental product spillage/discharge, zero injuries to our employees and elimination of fly rock.

• Oversees product inventory, vehicle maintenance, equipment and equipment maintenance, and site location.

• Oversees compliance with regulators including ATF, DOT, State Fire Marshal, MSHA and local authorities.

• Participates in and leads monthly site safety meetings and toolbox talks as appropriate.

• Develops strong partnerships with customer through ongoing conversations, meetings, reviews to ensure objectives are met.

• Assure drill uptime and production demands are achieved.

• Works outdoors in all types of weather, lifting and carrying 50 pounds or more of product and material on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• 5 years of site management experience and in-the-field quarry experience.

• Must be certified to blast in the state of Ohio.

• Position requires ability to pass a background check conducted by the ATF to possess and handle explosives.

• Effective, professional communicator.

• Ability to simultaneously oversee multiple projects in multiple locations.

• Works well in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining composure.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and handle physically demanding work on a daily basis.

• Must be able to work year-round under various outside weather conditions on rough terrain.
