Turn It On Electric is Hiring an Electrical Estimator Near Phoenix, AZ

The Electrical Estimator/Project Manager is a critical position on our team and will be responsible for estimating, selling and managing our residential remodel projects along with commercial projects while managing teams for both categories.

ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!!! DO NOT APPLY IF YOUR RESUME DOES NOT STATE YOU HAVING AT LEAST 5 YEARS OF ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE AND 3 YEARS OF ELECTRICAL ESTIMATING EXPERIENCE.

What Skills Are Needed?

  • You must be able to accurately estimate a residential remodel/commercial TI from either plans or on-site meetings, sometimes even less. We have a few great customers that we have developed relationships over the years with so no shortage of work, but we are growing. You’d be responsible to obtain new customers through a selective process.
  • You’d support our Field Team. When we need more field team members, you’d work with our team to hire – you’d do the initial assessment and would make the final call.
  • You must be able to use a computer. You need to be proficient in software we use in the office. Things like Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and electrical estimating software – we use EBM so direct experience there would be ideal.
  • You MUST be able to start and finish projects on your own. As we said, we're a small team, and it's intense here. You'll be responsible for managing your own project schedules and timelines. You'll need to use your own judgment when making decisions about the project. You will definitely have support but we are looking for a go getter and someone that can work autonomously within a high performing team.

What Are the Responsibilities?

  • Estimating, Budgeting and Selling small to mid scale electrical projects to keep your teams busy AND assure everything is within said proposals to stay on budget.
  • Analyze data and identify potential issues. You'll need to be ahead of any problems that may come up and have a knack for identifying them.
  • Developing reports for customers, the construction teams, and leadership. We have strict accountability here. You’ll be accountable to our customers, our team, as well as leadership.
  • Submitting billing documents and managing lien waivers. It’s best if you’re familiar with AIA billing and have managed the pre-lien and lien waiver process.
