Growing Multi-Location Telecom Construction Company is looking for an Assistant Controller. The right candidate will have experience working with accounting, Human Resources and Information Technology departments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review financial statements prepared by the accountant, prepare business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, annual operating plan and reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Supervise employees performing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and HR.
• Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting staff, recommending and implementing personnel actions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and non organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
• Be a point of contact for insurance brokers and plan and negotiate annual policies.
• Prepare or direct forecast income, expenses and earning reports, when required by customer or by project.
• Provide Management reports on business performance measurements.
• Counsel Management on ongoing legal cases and interact with legal teams.
• Train account staff to ensure accounting records and financial reporting is prompt, accurate and meets business requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 10 years financial management experience, including Accounting Department management, financial reporting and information systems and HR expertise
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting/Finance or Business.
• Highly motivated person that is able to handle a high volume of work with accuracy.
• Ability to be an independent thinker and find solutions to problems.
• Computer skills including accounting software, Microsoft Office, Sage Intacct Software A Plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to interface with all levels of personnel, customers, vendors and attorneys.

Compensation DOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
