The Finance team works collaboratively with the Accounting team to provide cross-functional support to our lines of revenue - advertising and subscription - as well as the other supporting departments within the Company such as Content, Marketing and Engineering. This role will be hands-on but have responsibility for mentoring and supervising a newly hired FP&A Manager and collectively working as a Finance team to provide stakeholders with visibility into key business drivers and support for decision making while driving core FP&A activities such as forecasting, budgeting, reporting, presentation development, ad-hoc analysis, etc. The ideal candidate is someone with familiarity with one or both of our key sources of revenue - consumer subscriptions and the sale of audio and display advertising. On the cost side, one of our key cost drivers is the content licensing of news, sports, and music content. At the very least, the successful candidate will be able to develop a deep knowledge of the company’s drivers and business model while also demonstrating the ability to shift to a more strategic line of thinking and communicate the story of our financial results and performance with clarity to diverse audiences. A proactive, self-motivated individual with a keen eye for details and presenting data clearly and the initiative to take action will thrive in this role. Being able to operate in a face-paced, high-growth entrepreneurial environment is a must.
