Puck’s Bar & Grill Job Description
Title: BARTENDER (hourly wages plus tips)
Reports to: Management
Summary of Position:
Provide friendly, fun, team member/player and responsive service to create an awesome dining experience for all guests, family, and friends. Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests. Each bartender’s primary objective is to show and provide our guests, family, and friends with such a marvelous time, they will want to return again and again.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them with our team.
Take beverage orders from guests and officials and team members from person to Point of Sale system (POS).
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Puck’s Bar &
Grill standard drink recipes.
Answer questions about our food, beverages and other WeStreet OIC functions and services. (Know all food and drink menus at all times)
Learn the names and personally recognize our regulars (guest, family, friends).
Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system.
Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make correct change (if applicable).
Wash, sterilize and polish glassware (Team member effort 21 years of age behind bar).
Prepare fresh garnishes, fresh juices for all drinks for bar patrons/guest, family, and friends.
Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
Clear and reset tables/bar top in bar area.
Present drink menus, always make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages/food/events/direct to management when needed.
WeStreet OIC/Puck’s Bar & Grill Bartender
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the manager / management immediately.
Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
Qualifications:
Be 21 years of age.
Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
Possess basic math skills and can handle money and operate a cash register.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift to 40 pounds.
Current liquor license
Current food handler license
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of WeStreet
OIC/Puck’s Bar & Grill as directed by management or immediate supervisor.
