The Admissions Associate I collects, inputs and maintains various data in support of the undergraduate admission application process. The Admissions Associate I supports all aspects of the admission operations process and is responsible for assuring timely and accurate application completion to assure recruitment staff has the most current prospective student information available. Calculates high-school GPA for freshman applicants through a review of the student's transcript, using a variety of grading scales.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• An appreciation for the cyclical nature of admission work and the flexibility to handle a variety of duties and projects throughout the day as well as throughout the year.

• Specific knowledge and proficient experience with Windows-based platform including word processing, spreadsheet, database and electronic mail components.

• Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies, including faculty, academic deans and senior administrators and admission staff members.

• Knowledge of undergraduate academic programs offered by Tulane University.

Required Education and/or Experience • High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with the Banner student system and/or Slate

• Knowledge of undergraduate operational procedures at the college or high school level as well as familiarity with educational records such as school transcripts, course descriptions, and syllabi
