The administrative program coordinator is integral to a team that provides communication, programming, and services to encourage the successful transition of all first-year students to Tulane University. Specifically, this position supports the first-year experience team in the planning and execution of myriad programs designed to promote the academic success of all first-year students, to root them in the academic campus culture, and to improve student persistence. Additionally, the administrative program coordinator oversees the experiential learning opportunities, and accompanying faculty support, of a required first-year seminar program, with the aim of connecting course content to the New Orleans community. This person also arranges the faculty hiring, course scheduling, and fiscal monitoring of these 135 seminars. Last, this position supervises a small team of student interns, providing monthly career conversations and guidance.
