Tuknik Government Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to support TGS and our government customer in Baltimore, MD.

Shift: Monday to Friday from 4pm to 1230am
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Utilize email, instant messaging, and other tools to accomplish the task
  • Monitor activity using the SMARTS tool (SSA monitoring tool)
  • Monitor WebHealth mailbox and process alerts; open incident management tickets and create notifications using SSAlerts.
  • Communicate real-time events to customers and managers using SSAlert tool to create email and/or text notifications. Events might include system outages, application-problem work-around, or facility closures.
  • Post internal and external availability and maintenance notifications on the notification center application. Events are posted at least hourly.
  • Update the Systems Maintenance Calendar with planned events, as the events are posted in the mailbox daily.
  • Update incident tickets as needed. Tickets opened due to alerts are updated with status once reported by the component working on the issue.
  • Update and or modify Webhealth application procedures, as necessary.
  • Perform various maintenance requests for Webhealth, office closures and delays, SSAlert notifications, events such as system outages, and application problem work-around. Most tasks are perform hourly unless more frequent updates are needed, such as office closures during inclement weather.
  • Assist with assigned projects related to Communications and Operations. Projects may include information database development, inquiry tools developed for the user community and web interface tools for the user community.
  • Adhere to Communications Operations Branch procedures (SOP) at the following link: CT Procedures.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Candidates supporting this function shall have a minimum of one-year experience serving in a help desk role and experience with Windows Operating System workstation/server, Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS), Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, client/server applications.
  • The candidate must hold at least one of the following certification: HDI Customer Service Representative, HDI Desktop Support Technician, or a CompTIA A (current within 3 years or renewed).
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
