Tujague's is Hiring a Sales And Admin Support Near Orleans, LA

Tujague's in New Orleans, LA is looking for one sales and admin support to join our team. We are located on 429 Decatur St. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and hard-working. This position will be hourly and it is expected that it will require 30-35 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Organize the office layout, design filing systems, and order supplies as needed
  • Partner with HR/Management to update and maintain personnel and office policies as necessary
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires—administering and explaining paperwork, sending correct forms to HR, scheduling training for each department
  • Preparing timesheets and editing incorrect punches weekly for payroll
  • Keeping the POS system updated with new-hires and terminated employees
  • Assist employees with inquiries regarding payroll, insurance and other benefits
  • Support running miscellaneous errands for the restaurant as needed
  • Support daily money management by counting bar banks and packaging accounting paperwork and receipts to submit to accounting office
  • Miscellaneous tasks given by managers to assist with day to day operations
  • Assist Director of Sales with sales efforts including creating banquet event orders and event menus
  • Assist in managing relationships with lead sources including concierges, DMCs, hotel sales representatives, wedding planners and more
  • Perform business development outreach to convention and meeting planners, local organizations and other business representatives for client prospecting
  • Assist with special events on a case by case basis
  • Assist in creating email marketing campaigns to promote special events, daily happenings and promotions
  • Work as a liaison between the client and the operations team to exceed client expectations and help in creating success private events

Qualifications

  • Experience as an Office manager, Front office manager, or Administrative assistant is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel)
  • Confidentiality with employee records, pay rate information, and other sensitive material
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
  • Willingness to be open to learning and growing all with a positive attitude
