Come and join and grow with The Tuerk House team, work in the recently renovated campus and where we just completed a $10.2 million project that includes a pharmacy and a state-of-the-art café where patients can choose from healthy food options. It also includes 18 more beds for in-patient detox treatment. There are currently 40 beds in use, and by the end of 2023, the Tuerk House hopes to have 92 beds in which people can recover comfortably.

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that new employees have a smooth transition into their organization. Work with HR Director and other management teams to create and implement onboarding programs, which may include training, orientation sessions, and other activities designed to help new hires get up to speed as quickly as possible. 

Liaisons between new hires and their managers or supervisors. This might involve scheduling meetings, providing updates on progress, or otherwise facilitating communication between new hires and the rest of the company. 

Corporate Trainer to help employees cultivate their skills and knowledge. You will provide complete training to share your expertise in ways that motivate others. Organizational skills and a positive attitude are important qualities that you have to possess. The goal is to promote efficiency and competitive advantage by developing the skills of personnel.
 
 Example of Essential Job Functions

  • Develop programs and curriculum for the employees of the organization for orientation and in-job training.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of training and workshops to the employees and develop appropriate modification if needed.
  • Collaborate with the company’s management to identify training needs and schedule appropriate training sessions for employees.
  • Develop systems to monitor and ensure employees are performing their responsibilities according to the training.
  • Ensure the compliance of the company’s employees to cooperate with standards and procedures during training sessions.
  • Provide support and mentoring for new employees while conducting an evaluation and identifying sections where improvements are needed. 
  • Welcoming newly hired employees and executing the engagement plan throughout the onboarding journey; managing the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a great experience for new employees and a smooth start in their roles.
  • Preparing and distributing new hire paperwork.
  • Educate about policies and employee handbooks that explain company operations.
  • Crafting and sending communication with information about the company, onboarding agenda, equipment handover, dress code, parking options, perks and similar items.
  • Ensuring new hires have technical assistance to properly set up their hardware/software and distribute manuals, passwords, and guidelines, as needed.
  • Occasionally hosting onboarding sessions in between general orientation 
  • Coordinate onboardpresentations/speakers.
  • Auditing data and setting up employee profiles in internal HR systems; assisting with the coordination, preparation, and distribution of employee documentation.
  • Aligning new employees with managers and their team and communicating involvement procedures to all stakeholders.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for hiring managers and newly hired employees.
  • Providing reporting and project updates to team lead and/or senior management.
  • Prioritizing and managing workload to meet critical deadlines.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and making recommendations on how to improve process efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with all processes and always maintaininga high level of confidentiality.
  • Challenging the status quo and proactively identifying process improvements.
  • Identifying innovative and creative new ways to onboard new employees/reach a more scalable and measurable onboarding experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required

Proven experience as corporate trainer
 Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
 Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate teaching
 Proficient in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint); e-learning software is an asset
 Phenomenal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
 Organizational and time management abilities
 Critical thinking and decision making.

Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) is strongly preferred.
