Our company is looking for a Medical Assistant to assist with patient acquisition and patient care in our Psychiatry and Mental Health Counseling office. As an integral part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment, this position requires an ability to work effectively with a medical provider in a self-driven role and an interest in supporting the high-quality psychiatric care that we offer. The key role of this position is patient acquisition and patient care, as the Medical Assistant will be responsible for general front office duties.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine clinical tasks such as welcoming patients, families, and visitors, checking patients in and taking payments, taking vital signs and urine drug tests, demonstrating proper infection control measures, interacting with pharmacies regarinding medical refills, taking general patient requests, drafting doctor's notes, and preparing medical records with directions from clinical staff.
• Handle administrative duties of a modern technology-oriented office in a professional and timely manner, with proficiency in the use of computers, cloud telephone and fax systems, word-processing and spreadsheets (specifically Google Docs and Google Sheets), internet and email systems, and familiarity with using search engines and social media platforms.
• With training, perform patient acquisition and retention duties, including calling and receiving calls from patients and prospective patients, educating them on our services, and signing them up for our treatment programs, and completing timesheets and score cards of activities.
• Report to front office manager and support clinical staff in their work.
• Be flexible and willing to train and use electronic health records and other medical and customer management software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.04 - $18.81 per hour
