Contracting Agent
Location: San Diego, CA.(Hybrid)
12-month assignment (potential to extend)
Pay Rate: $65-70/hr.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a 'Contracting Agent' to be part of leading the way in the energy industry, working alongside outstanding colleagues, and giving back to the many communities they serve.
Duties:

• Manages entire purchasing process for moderate - higher value / moderate - higher risk and moderately complex materials and/or services.
• Will be working with internal stakeholders to be able to refine SOW's and leading RFPs
• Assisting in negotiation and master agreements, including preparing procurement memos.
• Coordinates proposal evaluations, recommends contract awards, writes purchase documents, evaluates supplier qualifications, identifies alternative suppliers, and negotiates purchase agreements.
• Works closely with internal support organizations including Law Department, Accounts Payable, and Risk Management. Documents entire purchasing process.
• Review and closeout high service or materials contracts.
• Manages entire purchasing process for moderate - higher value / moderate - higher risk and moderately complex materials and/or services.
• Assists client in developing requirements and scope of work documentation. Writes and manages solicitation documents.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree, in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or 4-8 years of supply management experience.
• Need to have RFP/RFQ experience.
• Need have experience with SAP or Arriba.
