Survey Technician – San Antonio, TX

A Survey Technician with TTL is given the opportunity to work on a variety of project types and will provide surveying services to support civil, environmental and transportation projects. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, creative and a responsible individual interested in working as part of a team, while developing personal technical and professional skills required for being a successful practicing surveyor.


Description

  • Completes field assignments accurately while ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment.
  • Performs the following surveys: boundary, control, topographic, construction layout and staking, environmental mapping, GPS/GIS surveys, and land surveying.
  • Completes the field work by performing the administrative functions to include all computations, reduction of field notes, maintaining records, contacting clients, etc.
  • Organize data, create visuals, and provide analytics to assist with planning, engineering, and surveying.
  • Create land survey exhibits, plats, ALTAs, easements, and other supporting drawings and documents.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of land survey experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Experience with Microstation, Geopak or Open Roads Designer
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; Word and Excel
  • Ability to do mathematical calculations quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record

Preferred:

  • Field Experience
  • Surveyor-in-Training certification, or ability to sit for the exam within 3 months.

Salary is dependent on experience and time in civil industry.
