Our team in Seguin has a need for a Survey Technician to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for processing field survey data files for all types of survey projects and assists the survey team in the performance of different types of surveys utilizing the latest equipment and surveying technology.

What you will do:

  • Coordinate closely with and provide detailed instructions to field crews.
  • Perform abstracting/deed research and coordinate with outside abstractors.
  • Ensure Right-of-Entry is being tracked and logged.
  • Create abstract maps/working drawings from deeds, plats, easements and other documents.
  • Keep up to date on the use of the latest survey equipment and the most recent versions of software and new technology.
  • Be involved in final QA/QC reviews.
Job Requirements

You have above average communication skills both oral and in writing resulting in providing excellent customer service. Safety is in your DNA, and you follow all protocols consistently.

What you bring:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience preparing deliverables for public and private clients.
  • Experience using field-to-finish survey routines, processing raw field data, creating detailed survey deliverables, including various categories of TSPS surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, right-of-way maps, metes and bounds descriptions and other survey deliverables.
  • Experience creating survey deliverables for TxDOT projects a plus. Must be efficient using AutoCAD and Civil3d.
  • Experience using MicroStation, GeoPAK and other TxDOT required software a plus.
  • Proficient with Standards/Code lists and survey requirements.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Survey Technician on Land Survey Projects.
  • Highly efficient and careful when processing field data through Leica Geo Office, Infinity, GeoPAK and other software.
  • Checks own work prior to reviewing it with Project Managers.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with an attention to detail. 
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
