DESCRIPTION:
At ttg, we are seeking a Director of Nursing for one of our healthcare industry clients to oversee and direct the activities of the Cardiac Institute department.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and maintain a competent nursing leadership team.
- Support the talent development of the leadership team.
- Provide continuous feedback on performance and training.
- Serve as a member of the Executive Committee of the Heart Institute.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to provide strategic direction.
- Foster shared decision-making and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Maintain relationships with key leaders in the organization.
- Lead or support departmental and organizational initiatives.
- Stay informed about developments in the community of cardiac diseases.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Actively participate in professional associations.
- Develop and review departmental policies and procedures.
- Responsible for patient and employee satisfaction.
- Foster a Magnet culture and support Nursing Excellence programs.
- Review and analyze statistical data to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise the development of nursing budgets.
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse Licensure within the State of Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC)
- CPR American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- CCRN - Acute & Critical Care Nursing certification
- At least eight (8) years of progressive nursing experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in pediatric cardiac nursing
- Excellent communication, analytical, and fiscal skills
- Strong leadership abilities
