Type of Contract: Temp to Perm
Salary: 45K to 55K per year.
Join our team as an EHS Coordinator, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the comprehensive management of Environmental, Health, & Safety concerns. From overseeing individuals to infrastructure, production, and materials, you'll foster a workplace ethos prioritizing health and safety. - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Environmental, Health, and Safety Science related field.
- Solid knowledge of EHS and Facility Maintenance functions
- Minimum 2 years experience in the EHS related assignment.
- Preferred OSHA Certifications (Hazardous Material, Machine Guarding, Respiratory Protection, etc.)
- Instructing Skills to Provide clear guidance and teaching others effectively.
- Learning Strategies for adapting instructional methods to facilitate learning.
- Coordination - Aligning actions with others.
- Active Listening.

- Provide new-employee health and safety orientations and develop materials for these presentations.
- Hazardous Identification/Mitigation. Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
- Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as the use of safety equipment, hazardous condition monitoring, and safety laws and regulations.
- Select and train EHS Committee volunteers and lead EHS Committee activities.
- Plan and conduct emergency response drills.
- Coordinate "right-to-know" programs regarding hazardous chemicals or other substances.
- Incident Management.
- Inspect specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, or first-aid supplies.
- Interview employees to obtain information about work environments and workplace incidents.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents.
- Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
- Analyze incident data to identify trends in injuries, illnesses, accidents, or other hazards.
- Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
- Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
- Maintain inventories of hazardous materials or hazardous wastes, using waste tracking systems to ensure that materials are handled properly.
- Investigate accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.
- Prepare or review specifications or orders for the purchase of safety equipment, ensuring that proper features are present and that items conform to health and safety standards.
