Intermodal trucking company TRX, Inc. has an opportunity for a full-time, on-site Customer Service Associate in our Savannah, GA dispatch terminal.

In this role and as part of TRX Savannah’s Terminal Team, you will be responsible for coordinating our terminal’s on-the-ground operations and providing exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities of the Position

• Handling incoming customer inquiries and requests primarily via phone and email
• Assisting customers with shipment tracking, delivery status updates, and resolving issues
• Coordinating with our dispatchers to schedule pick-ups, deliveries, and optimize routes for efficient freight movement
• Providing administrative support, including data entry, maintaining records, and preparing reports as needed
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate information flow and customer satisfaction

Qualifications & Interpersonal Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Intermodal customer service experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of shipping ports and related terminology strongly preferred
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to recognize and appropriately respond to tone in phone and email correspondence
• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Customer service-oriented
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
• Proficient use of or aptitude for quickly learning a variety of computer programs, apps, and websites
• Experience with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, and Outlook

Physical Demands of the Position:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; and reach with hands and arms to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
