Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:  

Responsible for activities associated with the shipping of customer products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Determine the best packaging and cost-effective shipping methods.
• Maintain communication with team members via email and other channels.
• Responsible for accurate completion and storage of all required department documents.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using scan gun/inventory system of record.
• Use inventory system of record.
• Assist with training of team members.
• Inform Quality and/or management of any found product issues.
• Internal Audits to ensure all company policies and procedures are carried out effectively.
• Ensure correct distribution procedures are being carried out effectively.
• Assist with packaging distribution orders as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

• Understanding of Microsoft Office basics, Truvant’s ERP system, customers’ software and other shipping software being used. 
• Understanding of inventory flow/transactions throughout the company

• Communicate with external & internal customers/co-workers effectively in a professional manner.
• Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments
• Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential
• Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication
• Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers
• Must be able to reach, touch, grasp
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push
• Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor
• Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products. 
• Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 50 pounds
