TruStop, Inc is Hiring a Quality Inspector Near Tempe, AZ

Primary Purpose of the Job

Responsible for assisting in TruStop’s Quality Control Program through the inspection, testing and verification of product quality, to ensure it meets the guidelines and technical specifications before reaching the consumer.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming materials, parts and products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct visual, dimensional and functional inspections using precision measuring tool and equipment.
  • Document inspection results accurately, including any non-conformities or deviations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance in terms of Quality and delivery.
  • Represent TruStop in all internal and external audits and coordinate all findings to resolve.
  • Inspect, test, and evaluate product components and ensure such components meet, if not exceed, quality standards as identified by specifications and blue print.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data with the intent to prepare reports to document and summarize results to aid in process improvements.
  • Train and assist staff in production practices and quality control methods to ensure components meet safety and performance guidelines as per contractual requirements.
  • Perform detailed and recorded inspections of both in-process and final products to ensure their conformity to product specifications.
  • Assist in the disposition of discrepant material and assess cost and responsibility.
  • Examine the Material Review Board (MRB) to ensure products are distributed timely.
  • Distribute measuring equipment and ensure their calibration requirements are met.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to monitor and record data to meet customer and business needs and fulfill various audit requirements.
  • Interface with all departments, Managers, and Supervisors to assist in the implementation of training programs as required.
  • Complying with OSHA and other safety regulations.

Primary Requirements

  • Minimum of one (3) year Receiving Inspection Experience.
  • Minimum of one (2) year in-process / Final Inspector.
  • Familiar with ISO9001 & AS9100D.
  • Proficient with Quality Management Systems and their use.
  • Experienced in control processes and operating procedures.
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools.
  • Competent with blueprints and drawings.
  • Competent with GD&T
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • FAI and CMM experience a plus
  • Frequent use of hands and feet; regularly stand, walk, push, and pull with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit for extended periods.
  • Occasionally be able to climb or balance; use a ladder.
  • Periodically be able to twist, bend, or reach.
  • Seldom use of hands above head, elbows above shoulders, or working with neck or back bent more than 30 degrees without support and without the ability to vary posture.
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.; frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.
