Job Description

Trusted Resource Associates (TRA) is seeking a local contract Phlebotomist for a local contract job in Detroit, Michigan.

Job Description & Requirements

TRA Phlebotomist

TRA is Tenet's in-house nationwide contingent pool for Nursing and Allied travel and local contracts. Receive a greater level of Contract security compared to an outside agency.

The Certified Phlebotomist is responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures on patients of all age groups using a variety of different techniques.

Experience performing CLIA waived laboratory testing and hospital bedside testing required. The Certified Phlebotomist must be able to demonstrate skill and knowledge in order to obtain the best possible samples for the testing as required for the care and treatment of the patients.

This includes correct patient identification, sample collection, labeling and processing of all samples. S / he must also have the ability to interface with patient, family members, physicians and other professionals as related to their duties in a professional manner.

MINIMUM EDUCATION

Complemtion of a Formal Plebotomy Program or Medical Assisting Program

Associates Degree

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

2 years performing phlebotomy procedures in a hospital setting; basic proficiency in using lab computer / lab information system
