Job Title: Registered Nurse, Cardiac Transplant
Location: Rochester, NY
Salary: $3,840 a week
Shifts: 4x12s - 48hrs – days/evenings/nights rotating

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse Cardiac Transplant:

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, EKG readings, and telemetry data.
• Administer medications, IV drips, and other treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their conditions and treatment.
• Assist in the coordination of patient transfers to higher acuity units or outside facilities when necessary.
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies on the unit, including cardiac arrest and rapid response situations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and seamless transitions between units.
• Stay current on advancements in cardiac care and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
• Promote a safe and compassionate environment for patients, families, and colleagues.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse Cardiac Transplant:

• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• NY RN License
• 2 years previous Cardiac Transplant Experience
