Accountable for driving the Data and Analytics vision, strategy, and execution for Wholesale Payments to enable growth for our Corporate and Institutional Group (CIG) and Commercial Banking (CCB) teams. Enable sustainable business growth and performance through improved data structures, analysis, insights and information delivery. Responsible for translating business needs/use cases and emerging trends into the analytic roadmap outlining approach and timing.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in designing and recommending analytic approaches to drive Wholesale Payments, CIG and CCB performance.
  • Design and execute data and analytics strategy to support Wholesale Payments, CIG and CCB realization of business priorities and create an advantage for the business.
  • Create innovative solutions tailored to deliver timely and relevant business intelligence and insights.
  • Direct subordinate managers or senior-level professional roles with a focus on data strategies, quality execution and appropriate data controls and governance.
  • Lead team to research, analyze, design, and/or maintain data sources in support of projects, information needs and business requirements. Perform analysis, validation and interpretation of outputs.
  • Develop partnerships with key executive leaders and cross functional teams to recommend actions to facilitate key business decisions.
  • Advocate for CIG/CCB and represents broader analytics teams’ need and value through participation in Data and Analytics Council with Executive Leadership.
  • Consult with senior business leaders on strategic planning, key initiatives, issue resolution and ways to drive change in very fast paced, complex business.
  • Monetize data and information by leveraging enterprise data and information technology partnerships and initiatives to further strategy and meet business needs.
  • Understand business technology platforms, it uses and data to ensure outputs can be achieved that meet business requirements/needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 15 years of progressively responsive experience in professional analytics and management capabilities within a fast paced and complex business environment
  • Experience working with sensitive and protected data including compliance and data management protocols
  • Extensive experience with hands on leadership roles setting strategic analytics direction and managing data and analytics teams directly
  • Ability to drive change and execute within a large complex business
  • Understanding of a wide variety of analytics, data structures, technology systems, and BI platforms
  • Ability to interact and consult with senior business leaders and executive leadership
  • Strong leadership, presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft office
  • Solid understanding of key business processes and strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supplemental education (MBA, PhD)
  • 15 years Financial Services experience
  • Held leadership roles within the equivalent CIG and/or CCB business units
