Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Account Service

• Service Account with little or no supervision from ASR supervisor.
• Maintain correspondence with the insured/company by receiving and responding to client requests for information.
• Administer policy changes, certificates of insurance, invoicing and underwriting on a timely basis.

2. Marketing

• Track and obtain outstanding orders/requests.
• Assist in preparing final insurance company applications and attachments accurately and completely for submission.

3. Administrative

• Prepare and issue binders, certificates, invoices, tax filings and countersignatures on new and renewal business.
• Proof policies, process endorsements, audits, complete reporting forms, and initiate needed corrections to insure accuracy and completion of ratings, dates, coverage, signatures and attachments.

4. Financial

• Collect outstanding premiums due to the agency.
• Establish payment plans.
• Check accuracy of commissions and reconcile accounts.
• Make producer aware of any potential collections problems.

Required Skills and Competencies:

1. Commercial Insurance License
2. Working knowledge of binders, policies and coverages gained through basic and continued insurance education
3. Working knowledge of Rumba and network software
4. Strong client relation skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients and market contacts
5. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
6. Discretion to make decisions promptly with established policies on routine or new situations, based on experience and specific account knowledge
7. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
8. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
