Please review the following job description:

Accountable for the build out of Real Time Cloud Data platforms & capabilities. Implement cloud security and risk controls while enabling platforms through application programming interfaces (APIs), re-usable end points or through self-service tools across lines of business and corporate functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Build and Deliver Event Enterprise processing platforms for real time use cases across Business Functions.

2. Manage the Engineering team providing Operational Data Store (ODS) data solutions across business functions.
3. Partner with the CTO, CISO and other 2nd line of defense teams to implement proper security and risk related controls and frameworks across the Data & Analytics cloud environment.
4. Implement data governance standards, data frameworks, policies, data quality, data lineage and controls across cloud platforms and applications.
5. Work closely with Data Architecture Team to build and deliver high availability and automated disaster recovery
solutions.

6. Build out a team based upon agile delivery to support sustainable data operations, business resiliency, execution of business unit priorities. Enable CIDC re-usable pipelines to be leveraged across the Data & Analytics teams.
7. Assess the current state of cloud platforms, tools and processes to define the future state strategy aligned to the Truist enterprise cloud and security strategy. 
8. Partner with the business unit
organization to implement the Truist enterprise operating model for cloud, while bringing best in class industry practices to improve people, process and technology.
9. Accountable to build out and manage the data team including the data engineers and cloud engineers for the cloud platforms. 
10. Staying up to speed on emerging industry and technologies while bringing those new practices to Truist.
 

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Undergraduate degree in either computer science, analytics, data engineering, finance or equivalent degree 
2. At least 5 years of experience driving enterprise data strategy, data execution, data engineering or software delivery
3. Expert problem solving skills and being able to define detailed strategies 
4. Experience in financial services or payments industry
5. Experience in meeting regulatory obligations and operating in a highly regulatory environment on the cloud
6. Experience in building a high performing team

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in computer science, data science, analytics, engineering, finance or equivalent degree 

2. At least 10 years of experience developing and delivering enterprise Database and Real time processing solutions in Cloud

3. Experience in building Real time platforms as a service at large organization on AWS

4. Extensive experience with ODS, No-SQL, Serverless and Streaming tools and platforms in AWS

5. Experience in data architecture, solution architecture and / or designing enterprise business processes 
6. Skills demonstrated in data engineering, computer engineering, data transformation (ETL), digital transformation and regulatory program delivery 
7. Expert in solution designs based upon business requirements
8. Previous
manageror head of Data engineering on the cloud
9. Experience in building financial services technology cloud strategies
