Please review the following job description:

As part of the Profitability Insights Team for the Enterprise Performance Acceleration organization and under the leadership of the Director of Profitability Insights, this role will assist with delivering a unified pricing strategy and technology framework across all Truist commercial lines of business. This role will participate in efforts to optimize relationship profitability and pricing practices, leveraging technology and data to drive initiatives for yield improvement. This role will provide strategic initiative execution support, partner with the line of business on deal support, take a lead on adhoc analytics, and utilizes knowledge of complex financial concepts to assist with ensuring the PrecisionLender pricing platform output is consistent with Truist profitability methodologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quickly refine business acumen to provide accurate and effective deal advisory capabilities for LOB queries. Utilize said expertise in order to generate user resources and educational materials. Become deeply proficient in all key finance concepts including FTP, Basel capital calculations, common credit instruments and LOB nuance, balance sheet and income statement interpretation, spread and return calculations. Be prepared to be considered an SME on related questions.
  • Implement enhancements within the pricing solution, under the direction of leadership, to create a holistic view of client profitability and ensure communication thereof to impacted users via various channels.
  • Prepare reporting packages and track KPIs for each line of business to frequently evaluate pricing behaviors and Truist’s position in the market. Assist Director of Profitability Insights in determining relevant content and delivering to appropriate audience.Highlight market environment risk and opportunities.Develop actionable recommendations that can be shared with leadership as needed.
  • Create insightful analytics and creative visuals to derive insights to recommend operational profitability and pricing strategy improvements. Parse LOB feedback to determine where information gaps exist and create materials to fill the need. Partner with profitability platform teams to automate and deploy strategic reporting dashboards. Identify themes and trends in large data sets using analytical and reporting capabilities and explain findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Continuously refine user resources, and drive consistency across all pricing guidance to ensure alignment with strategic direction and Truist measurement methodologies. Make recommendations and implement change as needed.
  • Maintain a risk focus on PrecisionLender configurations, reporting, and pricing activities. Coordinate with the Profitability Insights Governance Manager as needed to ensure alignment with the governance framework.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of experience at a leading financial institution in Finance/Corporate Treasury, Commercial or Investment Banking, Strategy, or some combination thereof, preferably with exposure to Wholesale Credit pricing or underwriting processes
  • Proficiency in theoretical and practical accounting and finance concepts and techniques (cash flow models, ROE, economic capital, funds transfer pricing, etc.), including the ability to perform the mathematical calculations, develop models, tools and methodologies which replicate financial mathematics of various financial instruments.
  • Strong strategic and tactical critical thinking skills: ability to synthesize complex information to communicate effectively with teammates at all levels. Ability to translate ambiguous concepts into concrete analytical and reporting deliverables with broad applications.
  • Abilityto synthesize forward-looking trends and implications, creativelysolveproblems and approach situations with a fresh andwellthought out perspective.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships, display organizational savvy, leverage networks, and value diversity; drive cross-functional team spread across the enterprise.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and related experience.
  • Experience in both Finance, FP&A, or Corporate Treasury roles or line of business function
  • Experience working with PrecisionLender or related profitability/CRM/underwriting systems (Ncino, salesforce, RPMS, AFS)
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks, such as Basel III
