Duties & Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Performance / Sales
  • Leads General Managers to develop and execute business plans and strategies to exceed monthly sales goals and targets
  • Creates & builds strategies through constant training around key sales techniques
  • Conduct monthly Business Reviews with GM’s
  • Lead and support production meetings with your teams in your area during club visits
  • Conduct audits
  • Oversee sales performance reviews for each market
  • Oversee New Member Acquisition and Sales Team Development
  • Conduct club walk-throughs to inspect that all areas in the club are up to standard
  • Promotes a culture of continuous quality improvement and accountability by communicating daily with the Regional VP, being an active participant by providing insight on what is going right, what is going wrong, and how is the district as a whole can improve
  • Staffing & Recruitment
  • Determines staffing needs, ensures the area team is fully staffed to target, and assists in the recruitment and selection of new team members while maintaining an active pipeline.
  • Leads the General Managers to ensure they are following appropriate hiring process and procedures, following best recruiting, hiring, and onboarding practices.
  • Serves as the expert for recruiting candidates within the area and uses traditional and nontraditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Development
  • Leads onboarding for all sales positions to ensure that all employees have what they need to be effective in their roles.
  • Provides the onboarding and training for the new sales employees.
  • Consistently offer ongoing support and training to all General Managers through calls, workshops, classroom training, in-club training, coaching, webinars, etc.
  • Verify and approve all Team Member Progressions.
  • Monitors the KPI’s of each club to ensure that the Sales Team and Leaders are achieving or exceeding sales objectives.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and recognition to the teams in your market.

Requirements

  • Related health club experience in a sales leadership role
  • A passion for fitness
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the fitness industry
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Demonstrates a “roll up the sleeves” mentality
  • A passion to help people
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Education & Experience
  • A degree is preferred
  • 2 years related Fitness Sales Experience with direct consumer sales strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving and/or exceeding sales goals

  • Travel is expected daily throughout the clubs in your district, and overnight travel may be required.
  • This is a full-time exempt position with varying hours of work. This position frequently requires long hours and night/weekend work.
