SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the TrueNorth Steel Game Changer definition.
- Use advanced knowledge of WordPress CMS to lead in-house web design and site functionality updates; assist agency teams in development of website.
- Develop understanding of the business, product value propositions, and customer segments to create strategic written and visual content for website and marketing collateral.
- Collaborate with product managers to create written proof points and graphic elements for case studies.
- Convert graphics, video, and written components into compatible formats for the web.
- Perform tests on website user interface elements such as CTAs, layouts, target links, landing pages and banners.
- Design marketing and promotional materials for various projects and events.
- Contribute to internal and external social media content.
- Build and uphold brand voice and identity across all platforms and channels.
- Serve as a company ambassador as needed.
- Prompt and dependable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALITIES
- Strong proficiency in WordPress Content Management System.
- Proficiency in layout and vector tools such as Adobe Illustrator.
- Competent understanding of color theory.
- Advanced proficiency Adobe Creative Apps.
- Competent understanding of HTML/CSS.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript & Ajax desired.
- Great verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled proficiency in cloud-based applications and Microsoft 365 environment.
- Proficiency in business productivity applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
- Commits to ongoing professional development through monitoring of marketing trends participating in educational opportunities.
- Goal oriented; must be able to prioritize tasks and projects.
- Strong organization skills with good attention to detail.
- Work within complex situations by coordinating activities of internal and external personnel and groups.
- Must be service oriented and responsive.
- Maintain confidential information.
- Self-motivator with leadership skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Interest in or understanding construction or manufacturing industries is a plus.
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3 years of experience as a Content Designer, Web Designer, UX Writer or Experience Designer specializing in strategic content creation, or 6 years in a related role.
