The Mobile Service Technician independently performs advanced diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment. Your job will consist of regular on call work and seasonal extended hours.

You’ll focus on: 

• First line of Mobile service support to the True North Equipment customer base 
• Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and established IS products in the field and service department, using the lasted diagnostic technologies such as Service Advisor 
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge 
• You are the face of True North Equipment and delivers a professional experience to the customer base and is known as a trusted technical advisor 
• Willing mentor of service technician trainees 
• Available to support employee and customer training events 
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products 
• Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment 
• Maintain a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion 
• Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments 
• Provide timely completion of all repair orders, reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments 
• You’re accountable for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties

What we are looking for: 

• You can perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures on machines of the technician’s specialty 
• Must have 5 years of experience performing diesel service repairs 
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment 
• Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes 
• You’re able to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions 
• Can lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly 
• You have advanced diesel service technician education preferred 
• You have a high school diploma or equivalent experience required; associates degree preferred 
• Have a valid driver’s license and clean MVR
• Must be able to obtain medical card for hauling
