True Brands continues to grow rapidly, and our industrial design department is a key part of that growth. We are seeking talented and passionate industrial designers to boost our creative horsepower. Whether you are a recent grad just starting your ID career, or you have a few years of experience to bring to our team, we want to hear from you! This is a hybrid position, you will be required to come into the Seattle office at least 1-2 times a week for weekly team meetings.

They can communicate their design vision well and compromise when needed to meet the needs of various stakeholders. They are a highly creative problem solver, with a robust sense of humor. They follow product trends and are prolific; they come to the table with pages of sketches for any given product category and trend. 

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

• Explore a wide variety of compelling design options and new product ideas 
• Design beautiful, innovative products across multiple brands
• Work closely with product development and graphic design to translate project/product goals into relevant design solutions
• Effectively communicate concepts through verbal, visual and written means
• Create mock-ups and involve 3D print prototype file preparation
• Follow through and maintain design intent and integrity to mass manufacturing
• Prioritize and manage multiple design tasks and projects simultaneously

Desired Skills and Traits:

• Strong sketching and CAD skills
• Hands-on prototyping
• Ability to clearly communicate design concepts through strong visuals and oral presentation
• Team dynamics: collaboration is essential to the success of our industrial design department
• Self-driven with strong time management skills
• Familiarity with materials and manufacturing processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, interactive, multi-disciplinary team
• Has the desire to know how things work and how to make them work better

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design
• 0-5 years of experience working as an Industrial Designer
• Have enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; highly self-directed and results-oriented
• Consistently pursue self-improvement
• Be able to work from our office in Fremont at least one day per week for weekly team meetings

Software Proficiency:

• SolidWorks experience required
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Keyshot
• Rhino 3D experience is a plus

• Starting pay - $70,000 to $80,000
