We are looking for an assistant accountant to join our work crew! This is a full-time, hourly, W2 position with full benefits and a great working schedule. We're looking for someone with excellent communication and organizational skills who knows accounting. Supervisory experience is a plus but not a requirement.

• Apply principles of accounting to record financial information.
• Audit and balance various types of accounts
• Help execute monthly journal entries.
• Assist in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable supervision and work as necessary.
• Banking and QuickBooks experience is a plus.
• Collect and process payments from customers and bills from vendors, and accurately record it into the system as a back up to Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable
• Research, track and resolve any issues as required.
• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Review and enter new customer and vendor information.
• Assist AR Specialist, AP Specialist and controller with financial audits if required.
• Ad-hoc projects, reporting and account reconciliations, and other assignments as needed to support the whole team
• Use of excel Spreadsheets and database software in day-to-day work environment
• IT experience, ability to work in and out of different software programs

Experience

• Hands-on accounting experience a plus
• Advanced Excel Skills (pivots, lookups).
• High school diploma or associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (Preferred)
• Demonstrates a high level of self-motivation and ability to utilize critical thinking.
• To be successful in this role you should have attention to detail.
• Supervisory experience
• Has the ability to work independently, creative problem solving, and work through ambiguity.
• Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
