Looking for a JIB Accountant to join an established Oil and Gas Company in Downtown Houston, TX.

Job Functions:

• Assist with monthly joint interest billing process

• Process monthly rebills as required

• Apply cash for accounts receivable payments

• Resolve owner inquiries

• Prepare and record journal entries related to JIB accounts as required

• Prepare account reconciliations, complete JI Audit requests and maintain SOX compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related degree

• Strong analytical skills

• Strong Excel skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy

• Ability to communicate effectively within all areas of the organization

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and

Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

• Oil and gas accounting experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
