JOB SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, provides expert level professional support in one or more of the following areas: OMAT, maintenance, construction, intermodal, planning, utilities, surveying, environmental or traffic. May also serve as a lead worker providing training to lower level staff.
POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES: Under limited supervision, this position will assist and support in the development of the Department’s bridge programs, primarily in the administration and organization of the Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP) and secondarily for the Local Bridge Replacement Program (LOCBR) and the State Funded Bridge Program.This will include creating and interpreting the bridge inventory queries to identify candidate bridges for the different local bridge programs. Using bridge inventory data sheets to complete the required Decision-Making Forms for local bridge candidates.Creating proposed detour maps to coordinate with local governments for feedback on mandatory documentation.Leading Field Scoping Meetings for local bridge candidates and coordinating with department staff, resource agencies, public officials and completing the technical minutes from the meetings.Updating bridge inventory with current programming information. This position will update the LIBP Manual, monitor LIBP portion of the Bridge webpage and provide updates online when needed.

Good Employment Standing:
In accordance with the Interview and Selection Process (ISP), an applicant must have no active disciplinary actions to be in good employment standing. Actions that may disqualify an applicant include letters of reprimand (active for 12 months after issuance date); suspension without pay or disciplinary demotion (active for 12 months from the effective date); Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Leave Restriction Plans (active until 12 months after the date of conclusion). In addition, an employee must have an overall ePerformance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation. Please note that Memorandums of Concern are not considered disqualifying factors. Human Resources may remove any employee from consideration for selection who is pending a disciplinary action; however, if the action is resolved in the employee’s favor, he or she will be allowed to compete.
