Troy Bank & Trust is Hiring a Loan Assistant I Near Auburn, AL

Troy Bank and Trust is excited to announce an opportunity to join our team in the East Alabama Market.

We are looking for a full-time Loan Assistant for our Cary Creek Branch, that will provide the highest level of customer service and support for both internal and external customers of the Bank in all aspects of the lending process. The Loan Assistant provides quality and efficient administrative support to our commercial loan officers. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely set up of new loans from the due diligence phase through booking the loan. The Loan Assistant will follow guidelines using the Bank’s lending polices and procedures to comply with all State and Federal lending regulations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Processing loan packages in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Performing initial review of loan file to determine accuracy of information in system and documentation in file.
  • Working with clients, loan officers, and service providers to complete all requirements needed to close the loan within established timeframes.
  • Ensuring loan packages are compliant with applicable regulations.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma: A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • 2 - 4 year’s prior experience in either of the following: commercial lending, loan processing, loan servicing
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software to include Word and Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to prioritize initiatives and duties.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Inspires trust and confidence and maintains a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Works well independently and collaboratively to prioritize and drive forward multiple projects.

Other:

  • Must be able to travel to other branch locations.
  • Must be able to travel for business related matters.
  • Ability to travel to accommodate staffing needs as required to include temporary or permanent assignment.

Pay rates for this opportunity will be based upon experience.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours weekly. Hours worked typically fall between 8:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. Monday through Friday. Occasional after-hours work may be required and approved by management.
