Contra Costa country club, a premier club in the East Bay managed by Troon Privѐ, is excited to offer the position of SEASONAL COOK at our bocce/pool area.

The seasonal cook position is a part time position typically Monday through Thursday (appx. 1:00 pm to 9:00 p.m.) operating a satellite kitchen at our pool and bocce facility. This position will begin starting in mid-April and will conclude near the end of July for the spring season. The position will start again near mid-August and will conclude mid-November for the fall season.

The requirements and responsibilities of the position include and are not limited to the following:

• Food handler card required.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Positive and “can do” attitude in regards to members/guests needs.
• Must be able to provide legal documentation of ability to work in the United States.
• Must be able to comprehend English.
• Culinary training is preferred but not required, country club or hotel experience is a plus.
• Ability to arrive on time and set up work station according to the day’s business level.
• Ability to maintain a sanitary work station in accordance to local health code.
• Ability to produce menu items in a timely manner according to chef’s standards.
• Customer service skills are necessary in addition to the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and without direct supervision.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Communicate equipment repair needs in a timely manner.
• Required to maintain grooming standards and personal hygiene set forth by the company.

Pay range: 19-21$/hour. Entitled to receive service charge distribution in addition to hourly rate. Shift meal included. Free parking on-site. 250$ hiring bonus upon completion of 90 days of service with acceptable attendance. Compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and ability.
